Drizzly Day

Coffee, chocolate biscuits and a read up on Canon cameras; perfect for drizzly, rainy October days.

A few days ago i bought a timer remote cord (the remote on the bottom right of the picture). With Canon cameras, there is a timer (up to 10 seconds) however, for when you want to do time lapse videos, you can't perform this on the camera; this is a huge pain when you realise last minute its the Super Blood Moon and it won't come round for another 30 years!

This remote goes into the jack plug where you can then 'Adjust camera settings, Set the timer, Start the timer, End the shooting' as easy as that! And it was only £18 off Amazon!

New Lens

So over the last few weeks i've been looking into upgrading my camera equipment, and the the first on my list is this 50mm f/1.8 prime lens! It's so compact and easy to use, and takes some gorgeous photos!

Testing this lens out was so much fun! I went down to a local park and had so much fun adjusting to this new gadget!

Bright Lights

Whilst working on getting this business off the ground, it helps me to focus by taking a step back and looking at a wider picture. Looking out of my balcony onto the city of Sheffield helps me get out of my bubble of thought. Very pretty night tonight!

Finishing Off My New Website

After moving back to Sheffield for my second year of university, i've been working on my new website. With my small business getting more recognition, i felt that i needed to rebrand the image, give it a new feel. With the sort of work i am passionate about creating, a vintage style is the route in the right direction for this business, and allows me to create a unique and individual image / style, which can help people recognise my style.

I'm in the process of creating a more specific name for the brand. I felt that 'entertainment' came across as TV company for Film company, whereas i want to specialise in photography and filmography, creating personal work with small businesses and clients.

This then leads to my next change, the logo! I don't have the technical skills to create anything more professional looking that the tree design. At the moment i am working with a designer on the website Etsy.com to create a vintage logo. I am hoping to have it completed by the end of the week!

For now, i will be drinking coffee, scribbling down ideas and staying cozy in my new apartment!
